Matthew 25:26-30  (NIV)
  26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
  28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’


Luke 6:37-38 (NIV)
   37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Matthew 25:26-30  (NIV)
1.  I Predict: If You Tithe, God Will Bless You.

2.  GOD SIMPLY WANTS US TO INVEST IN THE THINGS THAT ARE IMPORANT TO HIM.

3. I predict – that if you invest in the things that God wants you to invest in
• God will reward you
• You will receive a return on your investment.

4. So God’s investment plan is NOT about making you rich. It is about making you a parterner with Him in His Kingdom. He’s wants you (if you will) as a financial advisor for the resources of His Church.

5. Our Sunday offering is an investment in God’s Kingdom.

One man put it this way:
WHEN I GIVE NOTHING:
I cast a vote to close the church.
WHEN I GIVE LESS THAN ONE-TENTH OF MY INCOME:
I do less than what was required of the poorest Jew.
WHEN I GIVE GRUDGINGLY:
I find no joy in my giving. I am a disappointment to the Lord, for God loves a cheerful giver (II Cor.9:7)
WHEN I GIVE LESS THAN LAST YEAR:
I have experienced a decrease in income or I have changed my priorities, or I question the need for the work the church is doing.

“Now he who SUPPLIES seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” 2 Corinthians 9:10
